Gabi's 2!

Not too impressed by it all. :/

Yep, that's big girl underwear you see! :)

Our sweet and silly Gabi turned 2 years old on December 1st! Her little party was perfectly simple with cake, presents, family & friends. Gabi was much more into her gifts this year -helping unwrap them & wanting to play with the toys and try on the clothes.

Some other Gabriela updates:

Gabi is talking a little more lately. We all keep hoping her tantrums will decrease as her vocab increases. She does seem to be adding new words every day though. One of her most said commands is, Read this! She loves having books read to her. She often picks out her own books at the library. Thank goodness there is a section of board books for her to choose from because Gabi seems to enjoy ripping paperback books too much! Makes mommy sooo mad.

We have been so proud of Gabi for being potty-trained by 2 years old! Well, sort of. Gabi has recently been a little more resistant to using the toilet for potty (luckily, it is always used for poop!). She needs mommy to lead her to the potty every so often throughout the day. Mommy might resort to chocolate as a reward to get Gabi back on track.
Gabi is still the best eater in the world, mommy says. She just loves food.

Sleep is another story. Gabi usually wakes up at some point in the night and wants her back rubbed. For the last few days, she is instead insisting on going to sleep on the couch with mommy. By morning though, mommy says Gabi has somehow ended up on the floor but looks as comfortable as can be. :)

Gabi still LOVES babies, both real ones and her dolls. She is so gentle with them when she feeds them, sings to them and puts them to sleep. She is not so gentle with me though! We tackle each other and wrestle sometimes. But for the most part, we get along so well. Mommy is always impressed at how I help Gabi, teach her and even try to discipline her. :) We have some tender moments too. Mommy will sometimes catch us hugging for no reason or giggling at each other about who knows what.
